Wattbike Pro and Wattbike Expert

Using our comprehensive Wattbike Pro system and Wattbike Expert software, we can provide the following testing protocols:

  • 3-minute and 1-minute max
  • RAMP and MAP tests using power and HR
  • Functional Threshold Power testing – 20-minutes and 60-minutes
  • Predicted VO2 max (Storer & Keen/Passfield formulae)
  • HR and Pace/Power Training Zone Analysis
  • Predicted Lactate levels
  • Power to weight ratios – real-time and tested
  • British Cycling Endurance Training Intensity Zones – Watts & HR
  • Pedaling technique analysis

From these tests we can provide the following:

  • Guidance on training zones based on actual performance
  • Training plans for performance goals
  • Progressive testing based on actual performance
  • Altitude training performance programme

Limited Cycling Performance Package £95

  • Introduction and PARQ
  • Familiarisation and RAMP test
  • Functional Threshold Power prediction (20 mins and 60 mins)
  • Predicted Vo2 max (Storer & Keen/Passfield formulae)
  • Power to weight ratio – real time and tested
  • 1 x Progression RAMP test (30 min session)
  • Results and Training Zone documentation

Note:  the initial test normally includes PARQ and blood pressure for health and safety reasons.

Basic Follow-Up Ramp/FTP Tests £50

These sessions include a warm up and then a repeat of the previously documented testing protocol.  Follow-up documentation is then produced to represent the change in training zones, FTP power and HR outputs as per above.  Session length approximately 45 minutes.

Advanced Cycling Performance Package £185

  • Introduction and PARQ
  • Familiarisation and RAMP test
  • Functional Threshold Power prediction (20 mins and 60 mins)
  • Predicted Vo2 max (Storer & Keen/Passfield formulae)
  • Report with HR and Pace/Power Training Zone Analysis
  • Pedalling technique analysis
  • Power to weight ratio – real time and tested
  • Predicted lactate levels
  • Blood oxygen elves testing
  • Results and Training Zone documentation
  • One to one consultation on zones
  • 2 x progression FTP (RAMP) tests (separate dates)
  • Updated report on training zone analysis

Note:  The initial test includes PARQ and blood pressure.  The 3-minute max test is included in the test alongside initial zone analysis and pedaling technique analysis.  A further test is included to confirm the initial training zones by means of a RAMP test – 2 further tests are also undertaken in this cost.
